First impression: Long wait time despite having a confirmed appointment booked far in advance. No sense of urgency from the receptionist/patient-coordinator who could not give a concise, transparent answer about insurance coverage and process. Naturally, I was annoyed. Edit: Fortunately, once I got through the door the experience got much better. Dr.Nima was very thorough and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain all of the available options as well the associated risks and costs. He did not rush through the conversations or the examination procedures. He did not cut any corner. As a patient, I appreciated that.

Dr. Dayani and his staff are courteous, knowledgeable, , and clearly take pride in the excellent dental care they provide. Dr. Dayani took time to answer questions about my procedure, follow up care, and went above and beyond to make recommendations for future dental care seemingly wanting the best for me (and my teeth!) in procedures they do not do in their offices. I would recommend Dr. Dayani to anyone needing endodontic work. Read on DR.Oogle

This gentleman came back into NYC and reopened his office to treat me on an emergency basis. He is expensive, but the care is first rate.

I have been to Dr. Dayani for two root canals and can't recommend him enthusiastically enough. He is responsive (answered his own phone on a Saturday morning (!) when I was in enough pain that I needed a root canal that afternoon), clearly explains your options and what he is doing, and is a very calming presence during a not-so-calming situation. His office runs efficiently and the experience--I am not kidding--is nearly pain-free (the only thing I felt was the numbing shots). Scheduling appointments is a breeze, whether you have an emergency or not. Dr. Dayani has a serious demeanor, but with a great sense of humor underneath. He is a real pleasure to work with! I finished my second root canal yesterday (it required 3 visits over 2 weeks), and his office just called to see how I was feeling. I feel great, my tooth feels fine, and I know where I am headed if I ever need another root canal. Read on Google

Dr Dayani is a great endodontist. His professional mannerism and clear directions helped me trust the process and calmed my nerves as he worked on a previously treated root canal that had a broken instrument inside. The tooth was infected and I was worried about the pain but I had none during the procedure. His prices are expensive but the treatment and the state-of-the-art equipment in his office makes it worthwhile to pay the bill. Everyone in his team is extremely helpful and polite. I highly recommend him.

This “root canal specialist” suggested two unnecessary root canals, and charged a lot just for evaluation and gave wrong information about insurance coverage. I had one problem with one big teeth decay and one problem with the old root canal treated teeth. Dr. Dyani said I needed either two root canals or one root canal and one implant. However, I went to other dentist to get second opinion, and realized that I didn’t need any root canal at all. The other dentist did filling for big cavity and replaced the old crown. After that treatment, I didn’t have any problem. To be sure, I waited for long time but those two teeth are totally healthy and I have no pain. Now, I know that Dr. Dyani’s diagnosis was wrong for sure. The problem is that this “root canal specialist” charged me a lot because he is “specialist” nevertheless the fact that his diagnosis was wrong. He charged more than $300 just for evaluation. They also gave me wrong information about insurance coverage. I paid the bill in the office but I got additional bill because the insurance company didn’t cover as much as the people in this office mentioned. I asked doctor to lower the price because I didn’t know why I had to pay a lot of money for wrong diagnosis. (I only asked to remove additional bill I got later.) He said that to lower the price, he needed to get the letter from the other dentist who treated my teeth. The other dentist sent letter and called him. After all effort, he still didn’t lower to the price he originally said. He only reduced partially but not much. Whole process took long time (two or three month) because when I called him, he often ignored and I need to call him again. I am so happy that I didn’t get treated in this place. If I did, I would have paid more than three thousand dollars for the treatment that I didn’t need at all. than three thousand dollars for the treatment that I didn't need at all Read on Dental Insider
